Mac book can't get of apple logo

Hello

My Macbook (2.1 GHz intel core 2 duo. 2gb) won't come of the apple logo screen, I'v already tried safe boot but that doesn't load either and i've been looking online but to no avail. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd start thinking about hardware issues 🙁 What happens if you try and boo the hardware test off the restore DVD?

just tried booting off the restore dvd and it loads for 15 minutes and the shuts-down.

Doesn't sound normal to me. I'd think about taking it to an AppleStore for diagnosis.
