Mac book pro has thick white line down center

my mac book pro has thick white line down the center of the screen. when i gently bend/flex the screen from corner to corner the vertical line goes away. connection issue maybe? how do i fix without replacing anything?

It must be a loose connector or an issue with your panel, Try reconnecting the display cable. I assume your out of warranty but if you are still in warranty get apple to take care of it.

thank you. i will try that. i assume its a matter of removing the underside and fiddling with it?
