    Dear All,

I have recently visited the apple store with a problem of white line appearing at the bottom of my LCD.

They told me that they will soon replace my LCD and I can take my MacBook at home with me as I will recive a call when new LCD will be available.

I would like to know what will be the after effects of my MPB LCD replacment? Will it will remain in a similar good condation as it is before replacment, will it effect any other part of my laptop ? i.e isight camers etc

I learned once your machine is opened for a repair it does not remain in good condation anymore as there are chances that this repair may produce some more faults.

The white line is now getting faded and is now hardly visiable and seems that it may disappear within next few days.

Please suggest should I go for LCD replacment ?

I think it's quite unlikely that they will damage any other components while replacing the LCD. Possible, but highly unlikely.

I would go for the replacement LCD.
