Mac book pro volume issue

Im using El Capitan 10.11.3

My volume is quite low, are there any free app to help? I did have Boom 1 but this doesn't seem to work on El Cap

I don't want to pay for Boom 2 either

Can anyone suggest an app or a system volume reset or something

I have Boom 1 which only work on my Mac but will be obsolete soon. Can get Boom 2 for 1/2 price, have to email seller that you have Boom 1 and would like 1/2 price for Boom 2.

A combination of Soundflower and AU Lab can boost volume and more.

The AU Lab app has to be running for this to work.
