Mac box set contents

    What exactly are the contents inside the mac box set? Are the cds like the retail ones?

    The question doesn't really make sense: they are retail DVDs? As in DVD copies of software sold at retail stores.

    I mean are they any different from th retail individual copies?

    Yes, they are different. They are install disks designed only to work with that particular Mac model. They also contain iLife.

    When you buy a mac, the install discs are grey and will only work on that machine.

    The retail copies are black and will work on all machines.. unless specified.

    I don't mean the cds that come with your mac, I mean the cds in the mac box set, are they identical to buying the equivalent separate copies of iwork, ilife and mac os x?

    Oh, okay, with you now. I'm not sure having never seen one in person, but I'd imagine they are.
