Hello,
whenever I connect my iPod Nano to the iMAC it is no longer recognized. Means I can neither see it on the desktop nor in iTunes.
What did I wrong? It worked in the beginning!

Did not try the reset yet, as it is working well. No problems at all, except the connection problem. Everything else, e.g. external hard drive or photo camera will be recognized as soon as I plug it into the USB port!
So I think there is no problem with the MAC at all.
Is there any setting in iTunes, maybe?

Resetting is different to restoring.
Reset

To reset your iPod:
  • 1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  • 2. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
