Went to apply patches to CoD4 so multiplayer would work. Drop down box came up saying that "Call of Duty is not properly installed. Recommend a reinstall". Reinstalled it and the same thing happens. Anyone know how to fix this? Caught in a vicious circle.

I recently purchased cod 4 from amazon -download
have found some online servers for multiplay
since considering a mouse as its not very easy with the macbook trackpad though the game itself runs fast -though getting killed almost instantly online which is why i'm going to search for alternative maps tonight via the servers
really pleased that is runs so fast with no lag via 30 meg broadband😎
not sure why yours hasn't installed properly where did you purchase was it dvd or download -legit? -no offence intended😀
