Hi guys,

I've seen several threads here (including other forums) regarding how to connect mac (macbook pro) to my xbox via a router but it needs an ethernet cable between mac and xbox.

I have followed instructions below:
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/17/ho...x/#commentform

But what I have right now is my XBOX IS CONNECTED TO THE ROUTER THROUGH AN ETHERNET CABLE (at my living room) while my MAC is away from both (but still can connect through wireless connection) ...

Is someone familiar with this scenario? Please help!!!😱

What exactly is your question? From what you describe they are both on the same physical network so shouldn't be a problem...

Your link is not working btw.

Cheers.

I want to connect my Mac to my xbox via wireless internet connection so I can watch movies.

I have read the one below:
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/17/how-to-share-your-macs-internet-connection-with-your-xbox/

it does not work for me though. I am assuming it is because in that site, you need to connect your mac to your xbox via an ethernet cable. the difference in what I have right now is that my xbox is connected to the router instead of the mac.😕

Install Vuze on your MBP.

www.vuze.com

You can drag and drop your movies into vuze and it will play the movies on your Xbox over your wireless network. It may have to encode your movies if they aren't in .mp4 format.
