Mac education discount ending?

Hi all.

My old Macbook Air (2011) is running on the last fumes. I checked the website to snatch the student discount for the new macbook pros. However on the top of the page it states "Offer ending on 10/2-2018". Now im visiting the Danish version of the site, so it might not be global.

Have this ever happened before? And what happens after?
It was my understanding that this discount was offered all year round, I may be mistaken.

If your country is currently running the promotion that includes a free pair of Beats headphones with an education purchase, then I suspect the "offer ending" refers to that specifically, not the education discount.
