I have to renew my .Mac subscription in a couple weeks. For the past however many years I've paid for an extra "email only" account for online shopping, signing up at various forums, etc. But now I'd like to save the ten bucks and just use an alias for that purpose. Does anyone know if it's possible to convert an email-only address to an alias? I want to keep the same email "name," as I really don't want to have to go all over the web changing my email address. Any ideas or thoughts? Can I cancel the actual email then create an alias with the same name, or is it like, once a name has been deleted it's lost forever?

Why don't you send an email to .mac support and ask them? They're pretty good about answering that type of question.

Good call. I actually didn't realize there was such a thing.
