I deleted emails but they all come back like i never did. Could someone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?

Need to know what type of service you are using (IMAP, POP, Exchange. etc) and how the account is set up, are you checking on other devices, which versions of mail, the OS, etc. You need to provide more information, as what you have provided is too vague to pinpoint what might be the issue.

sorry i have gmail as of the type of sever i have no clue to be honest. its just for me, not a work email or anything

The e-mails are staying on the server because of a setting in your e-mail program or GMail if you are accessing e-mail online. But as others have noted without knowing the particulars of your set-up it isn't possible to provide more information.
