I suppose the folder that says "Apple Software" will include things available to the general public, and the folder that says "Members Only" will contain only things .Mac subscribers can get. If that's true, it makes sense to me.

I guess it would prevent advertisement of free software to people who don't have an iDisk.

iDisk Dude:"Hey, did you download backup?"
non-iDisk Dude: "I can't find that anywhere!"

Weird,
I have an active account, but my folders are essentially empty. here is a screen shot of what my software folders look like:

you reminded me of a brown "members only" jacket i once wore to a wedding (back then) - what was i thinking?

The 'Members Only' folder is in your iDisk 'Software' folder (if you're a .Mac member). I had never noticed a 'Members Only' folder before.

It's inside the Software folder.

They may disappear at some point... so if u want 'em, I'd copy 'em.

Apple used to offer these soundtracks before... but I guess removed them at one point.

Nope. They've been right there for 2+ years. Never moved. In the software>extras folder I think. I tell people to go get em all the time. I use them for corporate, commercials, everything.

I guess most people didn't know about it, including me, but it is odd that they emphasized something that's apparently been available for so long.

Next they will send us an email saying that people with a .Mac subscription can create their own websites, too! :)

Only disk copy is available for trial members now. No sounds, no updates, NOTHING. It used to be for two years, but no more, at least on my system...my trial has not ended yet.

So Apple is just making the stuff on .Mac sound new when it really is just the same old stuff now made exclusive to members.

All this time .Mac has been out and they still haven't offered any new abilities for it. What you paid for then is the same as you pay for now, space on the internet. Except now you get some free stuff every now and then but no new features. To me this is Apples least updated service.

The new sound clips might make me sign up, but I'm still not sure.
I still find the price high, if you don't have a need for all the features.

same problem as pncc

I'm having the exact same problem as pncc who posted above me is having. I have an active account (one that was given to me from Apple because I work for a Reseller) and I have never had any problems downloading any of the other promotions. Can anyone shed some light on this? I have tried making a local copy of my iDisk, and logging in normally. Hopefully enough people are having this problem that someone can help us out. Thanks in advance.
