iPod Mac formatted iPod as storage device

Can a mac formatted iPod be used to transfer files between with a Windows computer? The computers at my university are Windows based and I would like to use the iPod as a storage device, is there a way?

Sort of, but not really. All the PCs need MacDrive installed. A PC-formatted iPod can work just fine with both operating systems though, so format the iPod on a PC, sync it back with your Mac and you should be right to go.
