Mac freezes trying to copy (or open) Xcode

I recently downloaded Xcode 4.6.3 from the Apple Developer Website, but when I try to move it from the DMG file to the Applications folder (or open it from the DMG file), my Mac gets stuck and I can't do anything.
I'm using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.
