Mac freezes, where are the log files showing why

Often my G5 freezes.

I'd like to find out what is causing this.

Are there any log files detailing what caused it to freeze?

Check the crash logs in Console, which is in the Utilities folder. Also, try to work out any similarity between all these times it freezes. Is there an app that you've always got open? Do you have any theme changers or system hacks installed? What sort of third party hardware do you have plugged in and installed? Hopefully we'll get this sorted for you soon.
