Mac Frozen

Software updated and the screen says install and restart. The mouse is frozen and so is the keyboard.

Now what?
 
Have you tried manually shutting the Mac off and starting it again?

What Mac, what Mac OS X version and what update are you talking about?

I leve my mac on all the time, it updated on its own and froze. I just rebooted and I hope it will be OK.

Thanks, it rebooted and is installing 2 items. No Idea what it is.
