Mac G5 on start up crashes goes grey

It starts up and the start up sound goes on and the gray screen turns on and the apple logo. A grey screen rolls down, and in the center it reads
(You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for several seconds ex.)
in the back of that black rolls and with white letters it gives me codes ??? At the button, (panic: We are hanging here…) help anything I can do.

If holding down Option or 'c' to change the boot device to the optical drive aren't working then it's a hardware problem and more then likely some sort of damage to the logic board.

In my opinion you'd be better off buying a new computer.
