Mac G5 Processor upgrades

Are the processors soldered onto Apple's logic boards or is it possible to swap processors from a 2.7 Ghz G5 with a blown logic board onto a working 2.3 ghz logic board? I figure I should ask before I attempt to remove the oversized heatsinks as it does not look like a trivial process.
