sorry if this is in the wrong place.

anyways, has anyone used this feature of .mac?

can you invite people who don't have a .mac account?
 
i'm surprised no one was able to help me out.

but to answer my own question: all you need is an apple id to join a group. but to create one, you have to be a .mac member
