mac "Help" doesnt show up

on the main desktop of mac..when i click on HELP - mac help
I get a window with nothing but nothing shows up and it shuts down.

do u mean you click mac help and a window opens but it is blank and then it disappears?

are you using Leopard?

I have had this happen several times, what I tend to do is disconnect the ethernet cable and then try using help offline, seems to work for me.

also try force quit -> relaunch finder. That might do something.
