I've had a Mac ibook os x for a couple years and well, frankly I'm awful with computers. Don't know much about them and how they work so I'm pretty much clueless when something goes wrong.

Lately I've been having a problem with the cd drive, for some reason it is able to read DVDS but not able to read regular software or music cds, when I put the cd in, it stays in for a while then it ejects it back out like it rejected it. It's really irritating sometimes. It's not because the cds are dirty because I've tried cleaning them and seems to do that to every cd I've tried but for some reason it's still able to read DVDs. I don't know where to start on how to fix it, because I'm not exactly sure if this will be covered under a warrantly for a replace since it's been so long.

HELP. :(

if you have any clue on how to fix this problem , email me! michellepanelo@sbcglobal.net
THANKS. any ideas are WELCOME~!

That sounds similar to the issue I'm having (see a few posts down).
So far I can't help you other than to try the things I have and go from there.
