I have a mac ibook that the system is:

•800 MHz G3
•384 MB SDRAM
•OSX 10.3.9 or higher

I am wanting to run a program that system requirements are:

•1 GHz G4
•1 GB RAM
•1024 x 768 minimum screen resolution
•OSX 10.3.9 or higher

Am I wasting my time or can this be upgraded? If it can be would it be somthing easily done at home or should I pay someone to do it?

i think you're looking a a new machine. i don;t think its even possible to upgrade the processor. Even if you could, the user experience would be horrible.

It might run on your system as-is, but as hellrider says it's going to be pretty frustrating and probably atrociously slow. You should look into getting a new system, even if it's the cheapest one you can find on eBay or whatever that meets those minimums.

Thanks for the quick replies

thanks for the quick replies I just read on another forum for the program im wanting to run that it can be done using the programs settings at a higher buffer for it to work. I believe I will try it before i purchase a new one, because all im using this one for is passing songs through it to my turntables.
