Late 2013 MBP, 15", quad core i7, 16GB RAM, running 10.9.3 (although I've seen the problem happen in previous 10.9.x versions).

Sometimes (quite rarely) upon opening the lid, I get a dialog telling me my computer restarted because of a problem. "Report" button produces this output:

First reboot into the Recovery Mode and run Disk Utility on it and Repair Permissions and Repair Disk.

If that doesn't work download the free application 'Etecheck and see if you have older extensions, etc. If you do trow them out and reboot.

If that doesn't help then reset your energy settings.

I'm having the exact same problem since updating to 10.9.3. Except I have a late 2013 MBA 13" i5, 4GB RAM. I've never seen this problem before.

Used to happen on my 2013 Mini i7 last Fall under 10.9. The later updates seem to have fixed as it hasn't happened for 4 or 5 months under 10.92/10.03. Still waiting for the FW drive system sleep bug to be fixed...
