Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times. Why is my safari using up almost 4 of my 8 gbs of ram? How can I fix this? Whatever the mac was doing that causes the files to be searched in spotlight easier is done too. Thanks for any help .

Don't worry about it. Mac actually knows what it is doing. Unused ram is wasted ram. You didn't get 8gb of ram to not use it.

Ok thanks man.. Just wanted someone else's opinion.. Good point too.. Let's say I'm rendering a video in final cut pro x, working in photoshop, had multiple programs open, or was playing a memory intensive game. Would safari stop using as much ram if the rendering was starting to bog down the leftover memory?
