I have a buddy with an iMac and his lock screen just shows a little login box with password input with the Lion galaxy wallpaper behind it.

Mine shows the big grey background with circles for users on the computer.

How do I get mine to do what his looks like?

System preferences>users and groups>turn off guest account. Then set your account to login with password.

Options include "Require password on wake up" which is what I think you mean. When the Mac goes to sleep you will be prompted for your password with the box you describe.

Okay, now if I lock my computer it does what I asked, but now when I restart it still goes to that grey login screen with guest
