On my iMac I used TouchID for logging in to many sites in firefox as a second factor.

The same login now just needs to click on OK and I am in, because I am already logged in to my Mac mini where I haven't a TouchID Keyboard connected.

In Safari I am even just in without doing anything.

I can also choose another login by password and One-Time-Password.

I don't really undestand this. Normally TouchID is handled like maybe a YubiKey what I also have. And now just being logged in to my Mac (and iCloud) is enough?

This mainly happens on YouTube. I don't know another website at the moment. Even if all browser data was cleared in each browser. I only need my Google-Account address an am in with a click in Firefox or doing nothing in Safari.

This "Continue" button is all Firefox needs if TouchID is not connected. And Safari doesn't even display this.

This happens, when Touch ID is not working. Rebooting usually fixes it for me.

This happens when the Magic Keyboard is not attached. I normally use a different one and don't always have both connected.

I wonder why I just can click "Continue" instead of having to use another sign in option. And in Safari I am directly in sometimes after choosing my login address with Passkey, even without this coming up.

When I just remove the keyboard while the login is alreday there it at least asks for my admin password.
