OK, here’s my dumb question: if people have a 16:9 screen ratio, why choose 3840x1620? Wouldn’t 16:9 be more like 3840x2160? 3840x1620 seems like it would be 16:6.75? 🤷‍♂️

What am I missing™️?
I think the people here are using ultra-wide (WUHD) monitors, which is usually referred to as 21:9, but is technically 64:27 (or 16:6.75 as you put it).

Is anyone able to confirm if Sequoia 15.3 fixed this? looking at getting an M4 Mac Pro but holding off until this is fixed!
No, 15.3 does not fix anything. For the moment BetterDisplay is the only solution (short of buying a Dell 4025).

The new M4 MBA can now display two 6k monitors with the screen open. It should be able to drive a 5k2k in 3840 x 1620 HiDPI yes?

Question to all LG 40WP95C owners with M4. Can you make a screenshot (system/displays) with all available monitor resolutions like i did with M2 ?

Man. The lack of 3840x1620 HiDPI with the M4 is maddening.
On my M2 i use 3008x1269 (and native 5120x2160 for some photo projects) so the main idea of my post does M2 support this HiDPI and similar resolutions.
Comrades, nobody can't make a screenshot?

Not an M2 but FWIW on my M1 Pro Max + LG monitor, the resolution is actually available as both 3008 x 1269 HiDPI and 3008 x 1270 HiDPI. Kinda weird.

I still don't understand at all what kind of strange screen resolution 1269 is.
