Help. please?

I am using a pre-Intel Mac Mini (10.4.11), (incoming mail server: pop.earthlink.net) and my incoming email all arrives as twins ... identical messages sent at the same time, arriving at the same time.

I'll bet it's an easy fix but I have no idea what to do.

Do you have your account entered twice in the preferences, or is there a chance you have your email forwarding from one account to another and both of those accounts are set up in mail?

Are you using this account with any other devices? check that the time zones on your machine and/or any others are all in sync as well.

thanks,

1) Do you have any "rules" configured in Mail? (If Bob sends me an email, move it to folder "Bob")
2) Are the duplicate emails effected by the rules?
3) Try deleting rules and recreating them.

I see this happen a TON in Outlook.
