Mac Mail Alternative for High Sierra

A parent's older iMac can only use High Sierra. Mac Mail for High Sierra apparently cannot use modern email sign-in methods from what I saw online in some forum. Is there an alternative email program that is compatible with High Sierra AND is capable of signing in and pulling mail from both Hotmail/Outlook and also Gmail?

The new, shiny Thunderbird 115.0 supports as old as Sierra
