Mac mail and drafts

Recently I loaded my work mail into mac mail (exchange 2007 server). Some of the emails I do for work are very long and as a result I end up with about 30 copies of one draft email saved as I'm writing it.

Is there a setting I can change so that it will save it as I'm writing it but as only one draft instead of many?
