Hello,
I have helped a friend set up his Mac Mail for AOL, but he is concerned about security. We set it up where it needs a password before it downloads the info from the net. However is there a way when you click mail (postage stamp) that it will require a password before opening? He's worried about people not only getting his new mail, but seeing what's in there.

Just lock the screen using Keychain Access' Security Menu. You can lock the screen whenever you want to using the menu. If others are going to use the computer, they should use their own account, and data in each account can't been seen by others.
