Mac mail app can't connect to gmail today

Hi there, have 2 gmail accounts, one a standard one and one a Google Apps gmail account. The latter is connecting fine but for the standard gmail account it is just showing the spinning circle and not connecting at all.

Not changed any settings and was fine yesterday. Can connect via gmail in browser and see emails but wondering if anyone else getting the same?

My gmail is doing fine with the app....I hope yours gets better.

still happening today. Have no idea why. Might delete account then add as new account
