Sometimes the mail composition window will be open long enough for the computer to save a bunch of drafts. While I like the autosaving functionality, I don't like the fact that those drafts are still saved on the email server and/or my computer after I send the e-mail. After I send an e-mail, all drafts of that e-mail should be erased from my computer and the server.

Is there any way to configure Mail to delete emails to other people after I send them?

There is settings in in Mail's main window Preferences that you can change this behavior.
