it's a random thing, and it's happening to all 3 accounts I have in Mail. When it happens a box comes up and says that I need to enter the password. I have it stored to save and when the box comes up I click "remember my password" but it keeps coming up. it's not ever day, it's random.

Happens to all of us at times I think
I just click cancel and it will usually reset itself
A little annoying, but I don't think it is anything to worry about
I could be wrong, but I believe it has to do with the server not being readily available when accessed

It also may be that you have mail set to check for new mail too frequently. Might check that and perhaps make the interval a little longer.

You can try using the keychain first aid. Here's a article on it, though it says for 10.4, it may be available for 10.5 I'm not at my Mac to check.
