I have a client who is using MAC mail on a hosted Exchange solution.
Problem is that when they send new messages to clients with Windows, the messages comes through as a text attachment and so does the signature.
I have checked the settings on the MAC and their attachments are set to "Always send Windows-Friendly attachments"

Any ideas?

First of all, the "Always send Windows-friendly attachments" option isn't what you're looking for here. The only thing that option does is makes sure files without an extension are given an appropriate one for Windows use if attached to an email message. Secondly, though I've never seen this particular issue before I suspect either a version incompatibility, format/encoding problem, or both, as the cause. Do you happen to know what version of Mac OS X (10.x.y) the sender is using? If it's 10.6.x, is the sender set up to use the built-in Exchange support? (Note that the Exchange server needs to be running a new enough version of Exchange for this to work - Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 Update Rollup 4 or later is required.) You might find this article helpful for account-related settings issues, too.

Mac mail message and signature as attachments

I have the exact same problem sending to some users (including my self on a mac)

My signature is ok when I attach no files. When I attach files parts of my auto signature (including text and the logo file.png) become (html)attachments when comming through to recipient.

Do you know of any solutions?

I am working on the latest OS X 10.6.3

same problem here

I just found out yesterday that this problem exists. Non-Macs receive the whole signature or the logo as an attachment. I'm still on 10.4.11, Mail Version 2.1.3 (753.1). Has anyone found a solution to this other than pasting it directly into the text?
