I'm trying out Smart Mailboxes to let me focus on just a couple mailboxes without the clutter from my various other mailboxes that I get in the AllInboxes favorite.
When I add my primary gmail account then hit okay, it gets changed to my icloud account. If I add a different gmail account it works fine.
Only thing I can think of is that my primary gmail account is the email for my AppleID?
Any ideas? I'm on 11.4 (and I did search MR as best I could to no avail)

Then I click OK and go back to re-edit the Smart Mailbox and it shows:
