Hello all:

After a 20 year hiatus, I am back on Mac. From Classic Toaster to MBP - what a change!

Regarding Mac Mail, and the fact that my eyesight wasn't similar to that of an eagle's on its best day, I have the problem of wondering how to increase the viewing font on screen in Mac Mail, w/o increasing the compositional mail font, so that my outgoing emails look like a kindergartener composed them.

Can this function really be missing from Mac Mail, or am I the one that is just missing it?

Thanks for any help on this infuriating point (pun).

Best,

-Joe

See if this helps. Right click on the Toolbar at the top of the Mail window and choose Customize Toolbar. Add the "Smaller/Bigger icon to the Toolbar.

Thanks Knoodles! That covers the Preview Pane, which is dramatically better than nothing. (O8

Keyboard shortcuts

For a less mousey (touchy-pady) approach, the semi-standard cmd+ and cmd- keys increase and decrease viewer font size in macmail under lion.
