Mac Mail

Recently new to Mac...

Hate to be a spammer but...I am having an issue getting my mac mail to work with my live.com account. The outgoing server is smtp.live.com but I still cannot get e-mails to be sent. I have logged into my live.com account and found my user for live info from my school, but this doesn't seem to help either. Any ideas?

they require you to pay for premium. use gmail.

I have a user for life account set up though...i shouldn't need to pay for it, right?

What port are you using for outgoing? Try using 587.

Also make sure authentication is turned on for outgoing.
