Hello, I have a mid-2011 mac mini that has been running really slow lately. I was hoping to speed it up by upgrading the ram and adding an ssd. Would an ssd connected over usb work or would the performance be bad. I looked at the guides for installing it internally but worry that i will break something. Any reason that any ssd in an external enclosure and this http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/mac-mini-%28intel-core-i5-2*5ghz%29-ddr3---mid-2011/CT3309246 ram would not work? Would it be worth in investing in a thunderbolt to usb 3 cable? My only concern here is that i use the thunderbolt port for graphics because i have issues waking the monitor form sleep when using hdmi.
