Mac mini 2012 won't power up

He, Im tried to upgrade a working Mac Mini i7 with an ssd. now it won't power on. I nicked the IR controller on the logic board but other than that everything is in it's place. Anyone who can help?

Try an SMC reset:

Failing that, it might be worth opening it back up and retracing your steps to double check that you've assembled it correctly. I've fallen foul to this sort of thing before and then ended up kicking myself for forgetting about connecting up a cable or something silly.

Did that couple of times. even tried to replace the power adapter.

Have you tried putting the hard drive back in and see if it still works?

I have 2 mac mini's 1 (2011) is working and 1 (2012) isn't . The 2011 keeps working just fine, the 2012 one has no sign of life. It has ceased to be.
