Hi, I want to know if someone here is using the Mac Mini i5 2.6GHZ for 2D / 3D software... archicad, autocad, maya, 3ds max, etc...

I will buy it with 16GB Ram and SSD for the best performance, but I wonder if it will be enough for working.

Feel free to share your experience or thoughs, and thanks in advance =)

Edit. It will perform as well as a base model rMBP 13 from Mid 2014 since it's the same CPU

I dont have anecdotal data for the apps you mentioned but I'll say, for what it's worth, that my friend edited and delivered an entire short film on a 2014 mini (2.5ghz, 8GB, iris, 256GB SSD) in FCP X and it was a very, very smooth and fast experience. The files were 2K and 4K resolution and there was some noise reduction too, which is very CPU/GPU intensive.

the mini is a great machine
