Mac mini 2014 + WQHD monitor

Hi,

I have a late 2014 Mac mini mgen2 with Catalina OSX.
I would like to change my full HD monitor with a WQHD 3440x1440 but I’m not sure if this resolution is supported or not.
Apple spec report 2560x1600 via Thunderbolt or 4K 30hz via HDMI.

Is anyone able to confirm if wqhd monitor can be used? Which refresh rate? Which port hdmi or TB?

Got a HP34f WQHD 3440x1440.
Everything is working well.

Note that via Thunderbolt-DP the mac Mini is able to support 60Hz, via HDMI only 50Hz.
