Guys,

quick update. Just got luna display and connected it to USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 port of Black Magic EGPU and 27inch LG 27UK650 to HDMI 2.0 port on Black Magic EGPU.

Excellent two displays (4k on 27 LG &. Retina on iPad Pro ) and Activity Monitor shows using Full EGPU instead of onboard intel graphics.

if you are in market for luna display and egpu go for it.

I'm using Luna Display, but I think that it is useful in fairly narrow circumstances. I discuss the pros, cons and use cases in some detail, using two sizes of iPad, in posts 20-24, 26-29 and 31 of the following thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/2018-mini-2014-mini-luna-display-music.2171149/

Note that I made a decision to return the unit (posts 24 & 26), but, as discussed in later posts, decided to keep it after further testing and consideration. I'm currently using it with the Qobuz music app and occasionally with macOS applications (e.g. Terminal) for which there is no iOS counterpart.

The Luna Display technology is clever. However, it's a good idea to know the Luna Display's limitations, and to have a clear idea of what you're going to use it for, before ordering. I suspect that many purchasers are dazzled by the technology, but discover that they don't have a practical use for it. Unfortunately, there is no proper user manual, and as far as I know, no YouTube video offers a serious evaluation of this product.

Hi F-Tran, Thanks for detailed inputs. Your used case seems to be close to music production.

These are my dislikes so far :

-iPad Soft keyboard can't be used as Mac Keyboard while using Luna. Either I have to use magic bluetooth keyboard or use Touch Screen/Pencil for inputs.
-Sound output always to Mac mini Sound output. Work around is using airplay to my bedroom HomePod while away from Mac.

Things I like so far
-Far better quality than any other solution in market for remote display of Mac ( Tried duet and screens/VNC)
-Touch Screen Input is great along with Pencil
-Allows standalone configuration for Mac mini
-My Home wifi allows High Quality connection , never had poor connection issue like others mentioned earlier in reviews.
