I did have a temporary, though indeed frustrating, random week of problems with my Apple Trackpad 2 -- Apple Wireless Keyboard was fine. It came and it went without me understanding why.
From what I've read on various sites, the primary interference is poorly or non-shielded USB (A) 3.0 cables and chipsets. Not USB 3.1 or 3.2 and not those with USB-C connectors.
