I'm trying to figure out if a Mac Mini 2018 will work on my Asus pg348q monitor. I'll have to get a USB-C to Displayport cable, because the monitor's HDMI port only supports 3440x1440@50Hz, while Displayport goes to 100hz.

What I've found from hours of googling, it seems USB-C to Displayport works on some monitors, but I really don't want to take a chance with it.

This is the cable I've found: https://www.startech.com/uk/AV/disp...c-video-adapters/usb-c-displayport~CDP2DPMM6B

Appreciate any input on this :)

That cable should work, but my bet is that you're NOT going to get "100hz".
Probably 60hz instead.

Thanks, I'll just order the mac and see. Hopefully it works, really want to get back to a mac.
