Quick question, thinking of getting a Mac Mini (top model), but was wondering if there it would be suitable to using Logic with? With such a compressed computer so to speak, is there a lot of background noise etc? Any other points to note?

Thanks for any advice :D

I use a new Mini and a C2D 2.0 Macbook with Logic. I maxed out the RAM on both -- the Mini can take up to 3GB of RAM which I got from OWC.

In terms of noise, it's not really an issue unless you want to track directly to an external drive (and that may be noisy) -- which you may want to do as the Mini's internal drive isn't super fast.

How do you plan on using Logic? For audio tracks or lots of MIDI and plugins?

im going to start making dance tracks after a good few years absence. A mate advised that Logic was the way to go. Would you say that 1gb ram is not enough? Or is it just preferable to have more? Thanks.
