I seem to be having major problems with my Mac Mini and "Apple Studio Display" When I connect the monitor to the computer it work fine. But whenever I try and play a DVD, or any movie file I get a screen full of pixel static.

I am using "Doctor Boot Adapter" with the Apple Studio Display. I have tried a different monitor and it work fine, so it cannot be the Mac Mini right.

The only thing I can think which is making the problem is the "Doctor Boot Adapter". But my question is WHY?

Any advise is welcome.

I have inclosed a link with pics and video footage of what is happening.

Hmm, why don't you just leave the DrBott adapter out of the link? (and which adapter are you using?)

Good news. It turns out that is was the crappie Dr Bott adapter I was using. Do not wast your money on that product. Get an apple adapter.

The Dr Bott adapter cost me, last year £80. Wast of money.

Hehe, good to hear. 🙂
I thought Apple shipped every system with their adapter?

I think he needed the DVI->ADC adapter, which apple doesn't supply with any computer. They supply the DVI and DVI->VGA ones.
