Hi everyone

just some quick pictures and feedback for my new display Dell U2415

for the moment, i'm still waiting for my new mac mini to arrive, so i only connected it to a 2011 Mac Mini (intel HD 3000 with thunderbolt) to make sure that it will be recognized

it works like a charm with the DP-Mini DP cable provided, plugged in the Thunderbolt port which is Mini-DP retrocompatible

the screen is absolutely awesome, calibration is perfect, size is a bit surprising as we were all used to having 16:9 for a while, going back to 16:10 is a change, but i'll get used to it

it only took me 2 minutes to take everything of the box and plug all the cables

it was connected to the Mac Mini and recognized at 1920*1200 out of the box

i'm supposed to receive 2 Mac Mini this week (a 2012 and a 2014), will give more feedbacks soon :)

it seems to have its own profile in OSX

i can see Dell U2415 in the profile list

Jealous, I went the U2414H because the U2415H was like twice the price here in Europe.

These new Dells seem to be better quality compared to the reviews you see on previous models, I have zero backlight bleed and no dead/faulty pixels.

Nice! I am still using an ancient Samsung SyncMaster 245. I tried a couple of 24" ACDs a few years ago and they just did not make the grade. That Dell would really, really, really be nice on my desk.

One thing I am really happy about is that My Samsung is a 16:10 monitor, what I would term a "real" computer display. 16:9 is great for television but is too restrictive for computer work.

I live in France and Dell France sells it over 420 euros including shipping

so i ordered it in Germany, i paid it 377 including DHL delivery

Dell displays are awesome, perfectly calibrated, anti glare is fantastic, black is very dark for watching movies...
couldn't be happier

I really like the thin bezel on the U2414 & U2415.

Just saw they have a U2715 model that's coming out that's also thin bezel. Probably going to go with that.

Yeah I got my U2414H from Amazon.de, it was 203EUR delivered! So cheap.

Waiting patiently for the U2715H to come out here, so the U2414 will become my Xbox/Movies/TV/Second monitor.

How funny, I just received mine too. It's a great monitor but my only wish is that it was glossy. I also have a Dell S2340M and it seems ever so slightly sharper due to it being glossy.

yeah but it's a very massive design and twice the price of the U2415 which is only 1920*1200 but has perfect color calibration and the thinnest of all bezels

and i'm not sure this mac mini will support 4K without hiccups

so i'm perfectly happy with my configuration (2012 mac mini boosted in ram and ssd and a fantastic super thin screen), which is very discrete on my desk :)

I am about to place an order for this one to use with my 15" mid-2014 rMBP (the current latest model).

Do I need to buy a connector to connect it to MBP or is everything included?

Thanks in advance.

If you would be so kind to test with de late 2014 Mac Mini ... it would be helpful.

I´m thinking on this Dell.

Thanks

Something new about the Dell 2415H and the Late 2014 Macmini? Did You already tried them together?

Thanks.

I just got this monitor, unboxed it and connected it to a late 2012 mac mini, but no go. The monitor shows "No mDP cable", though it 's connect with the included cable and the input's set to mDP. i've tried another mac mini, unplugging, rebooting, etc. to no avail. Any suggestion? Thanks

Go to your "Display" setting and check to see if DP 1.2 is Disable or Enable. You may need to Disable it so it's DP 1.1. Hope that helps. My Dell U2415 came with the DP 1.2 already enabled and the 2012 Mac Mini may not work on DP 1.2.

3,5 years later, after many other Macs owned, I just sold my 12" Macbook and re-purchased a refurbished late-2012 Mac Mini and exactly the same Mac

in terms of performance, this configuration still beats many actual Mac, and I have not found other screen with this size and that well calibrated

of course i miss the retina display, but this screen is amazing

and I really love the late-2012 quad i7 Mac Mini !!
