Can anyone with the DTK do a teardown?
Curious to see if the RAM and SSD can be upgraded to see which direction Apple is heading!

First rule of DTK is that you don’t talk about DTK. The NDA that comes with it proscribes tear downs or performance testing publication. I would figure on laptop ram being fixed. Mini & iMac toss-up. Mac Pro upgradeable.

Remember they have to return the DTK to Apple after use. I'm sure you'd break a few seals if you open it.
Anybody with their income tied to having a good standing with Apple would be foolish to jeopardise it like that.
moreover this board, and that CPU give no indication to Apple's longer time plans. It's just a quick and dirty setup they could produce relatively fast and cheap to allow developers to get their hands on an ARM powered device to provide some continuity when the first Apple Silicon mac launches.
It's not going to be feature complete to what the future will hold at all.

hmm, i'm really curious to see how even those seals look like! seems not much photos on it, I think Apple did a good job of keeping it hush hush with the developers.

To be honest, a teardown of the DTK would be about as relevant to the actual Apple Silicon Macs as a teardown of a Quadra 6000 is to the first Mac Pro. The DTK is not a representation of the final hardware for future Macs, but basically a one-off design that places iPad innards in a Mac mini chassis.
