I bought the latest macmini yesterday and hooked it on to my 42" lg led tv. Now my problem is that at highest resoultion,1080p60hz the picture is awesome but the menu bar and the icons are just too small for couch surfing.
I googled and found that there is a program called switchresx which might solve my problem but after downloading i have difficulties configuring it to suit my needs.

Can anyone here help me with switchresx settings for my Tv? Or suggest an alternate solution?
Temporarily i have set the resoultion to 720p which works fine but i do want to use 1080p settings.

On the old Minis with Mini DisplayPort, I was forced to use Switchresx to compensate for TV overscan on my old DLP TV. The program as a whole is a pain. There is very little documentation-- be prepared to really spend a lot of time working on it. I wouldn't recommend it. In the end, it got the job done, but I spent more time tweaking it than I did actually using it.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Switchresx offers a solution to your problem...

In system preferences, you can adjust icon size or turn on dock magnification. Other than that, I don't think there's much you can do.

What kind of stuff are you doing that you need to use menus that often?
